Frieda Kay, Program Officer, Public Leadership Certificate Program

 

Frieda Kay is a facilitator, social science researcher, and infrastructure enthusiast with a passion for aligning stakeholders around pragmatic and equitable sustainability solutions. Her experience spans topics from utility-scale solar to municipal waste management, with roles ranging from community management at a pre-seed startup to facilitating multi-jurisdictional collaborations across academic, governmental, nonprofit, philanthropic, and private institutions around climate and energy.

She holds a B.A. in Engineering from Brown University and an M.S. in Natural Resources and City & Regional Planning from Cornell University, where her graduate research focused on the role of individual intermediaries and relational infrastructure in sustainability transitions.

Frieda loves to travel, especially by train, and enjoys exploring new places, meeting new people, and taking pictures of wildflowers.
