Energy Security Solutions for New Jersey

About EOPA New Jersey

E.O.P.A. New Jersey are current and former elected officials who are working to see energy security solutions implemented for public health and the future for all New Jerseyans.

Our Work

Clean transportation Infrastructure

To electrify our nation’s transportation system is imperative for energy security.  We need to see the build out of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

In 2024, our EV East Coast tour visited New Jersey where we held a press conference at the Capitol and gave elected officials opportunities to drive EV. This educational tour will help them better infrom their communities and peers about EVs.

Offshore Wind Power initiative

With a 11 gigawatt goal, New Jersey leads the East Coast in developing America’s offshore wind power, which has the potential to meet 90% of total U.S. energy demand
by 2050.

We have a letter signed by elected officials in strong support of the responsible buildout of offshore wind.

On March 27, 2024 E.O.P.A hosed a offshore wind virtual summit. Federal, state, and local elected officials, as well as enviroment and industry representatives, and offshore wind experts spoke about the need for this key energy security solution to grow jobs, protect public health and mitigate the effects of extreme weather. The virtual summit also highlighted leasing, manufacturing, workforce development projects, supply chains, labor laws, prevailing wage, and environmental reviews to keep offshore wind moving forward to help communities, workers, the environment, and energy security.

The E.O.P.A. virtual Summit provided key educational information for elected officials in N.Y .and N.J.
