Empowering Courageous Leadership

About EOPA New Jersey

EOPA New Jersey inspires leadership from elected officials across the state on addressing the climate emergency, protecting our land and water, and creating a healthy and prosperity future for all New Jerseyans.

Our Work

Clean transportation Infrastructure

Our goal is to electrify our nation’s transportation system with large-scale public funding and national electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to transition off of a fossil fuel transportation system to one using clean renewable energy. Our work has already built a clean vehicle coalition in New Jersey.

Offshore Wind Power initiative

With a 11 gigawatt goal, New Jersey leads the East Coast in developing America’s offshore wind power, which has the potential to meet 90% of total U.S. energy demand
by 2050. We have a letter signed by elected officials in strong support of the responsible buildout of offshore wind.

EOPA will host a NY and NJ Offshore Wind Virtual on March 27, 2024.  Register HERE

Join us with federal, state, and local officials, including state lawmakers, local elected officials, state agency officials, industry representatives, and offshore wind experts. The virtual summit will highlight state and local policy solutions for offshore wind investments, leasing, manufacturing, workforce development projects, supply chains, labor laws and prevailing wage, and environmental reviews to keep offshore wind moving forward and benefit our communities, workers, environment, and prosperity.

Led by representatives of frontline communities, our virtual Summit will provide an educational opportunity for how offshore wind will benefit NY and NJ communities, policies to ensure responsible offshore wind development, and how we can work together to ensure offshore wind provides clean energy to power our communities, prosperity, and future.
