We are excited to extend a warm invitation to our annual Energy Security Summit: IRA Implementation, co-hosted with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) November 15-16 in Washington DC.

We are especially excited to partner with the DOE Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) office and their veteran owned business convening.

Focused on the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) implementation, the summit will highlight the opportunities to learn about the $369 billion in IRA funding, criteria, and how to apply for the historic investment in our communities and prosperity, with a focus on veteran owned businesses and Justice40 communities.

Please join elected officials, veterans who are lawmakers and business owners, entrepreneurs, impact investors, family offices, technical assistance organizations, and federal agencies as we create solutions to protect our communities and planet.

Jigar Shah, the DOE Director of the Loan Programs Office, left, talks with participants of the Elected Officials to Protect America Climate Emergency & Energy Security Summit in 2022.

“Making sure state and local governments know about the climate benefits available to them is crucial for realizing President Biden’s all-of-government strategy for solving the climate emergency. It’s our hope that the partnerships forged in the Summit will help mitigate the climate crisis while creating thousands of jobs,” said Dominic Frongillo, Executive Director and Co-Founder of EOPA.

Attend IN-Person & Virtual
BRIEFINGS on how the Infrastructure Reduction Act will help your community

At our EOPA annual D.C. Climate Emergency & Energy Security Summit we will welcome officials from across the country to be briefed by the White House and Department of Energy about the community benefits from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

“Connecting lawmakers, NGO’s, and clean energy companies, to create potential public-private partnerships is one of our goals at the summit as the IRA will help us accelerate and scale climate solutions. The IRA is already making our nation more secure – helping millions of families and hard working Americans,” said Alex Cornell du Houx, former Maine state Representative, Marine combat veteran, and President and Co-Founder of EOPA.

We will highlight how the IRA helps environmental justice communities, veteran owned businesses, and new technologies. We will also showcase exciting clean energy solutions.

At the hybrid in-person and virtual Summit:

  • Participants will have the opportunity to discuss policy ideas that will be shared with the Administration and elected officials.
  • We will convene elected officials from across the country to lift up the local opportunities and solutions that will benefit from the IRA.
  • Elected officials will bring the needs of their community to federal and state officials, and hear how the IRA will directly benefit their constituents, communities, and the climate.

Your voice and ideas matter at this critical moment to ensure the IRA is implemented in your community.
